Sci-Fi Vase by Marc Newson for Cor Unum 1993 Glazed Black Ceramic Signed Rare. For sale is a Sci-Fi vase in black, designed by Australian designer Marc Newson for the Dutch manufacturer Cor Unum Ceramics & Art, 1993. The piece is new in its original box in good condition. Printed signature and Cor Unum stamp visible under the piece. The black Sci-Fi is an absolutely rare piece: produced only on special order at the time of its creation, it is considerably rarer than the white version, which is already very difficult to find in the collector's market. Its organic and futuristic shape in glossy black glazed ceramic, with a wide body and multiple openings inspired by the Helice floor lamp designed by Newson for Flos, makes it both a sculpture and a decorative object, with a striking presence and character. The piece was produced in a very small series before the bankruptcy of Cor Unum. Features: Model: Sci-Fi. Designer: Marc Newson. Publisher: Cor Unum Ceramics & Art, Netherlands. Year: 1993. Dimensions: H 35 cm × W 30 cm × D 26 cm. Material: Glossy black glazed ceramic. Produced on order only — absolute rarity. Signature and Cor Unum stamp under the piece. New in its original box. Condition: New, no chips or cracks. Perfectly complements a contemporary design interior, a collection of signed objects, a gallery, or a characterful apartment.
