Vintage Mediterranean landscape – oil on canvas with a knife, yes

Charming vintage painting depicting a Mediterranean village by the sea, with white houses, a boat, vegetation, and a small sailboat on the horizon. The painting is particularly interesting due to its texture and relief work, largely created with a knife: facades, roofs, vegetation, flowers, the boat, and reflections are treated with beautiful impasto that adds a lot of depth to the whole. Soft and bright palette in shades of blue-grey, off-white, beige, brown, and green, accented with small touches of red and blue. Work signed at the bottom left, signature difficult to decipher, appearing to read "M. Kreil" or something similar. Presented in its original vintage frame, in dark wood with a burl effect, highlighted with golden fillets and a wide light textile mat. The back retains its old printed protective paper, notably mentioning "Quadri Giorgioli – Piazza dei Signori – Padova", probably related to the framing or the dealer. A very beautiful decorative object, likely from the second half of the 20th century, ideal for a vintage, Mediterranean, or holiday home interior. Condition. Overall good vintage condition. Some light signs of use on the frame and back, consistent with its age. Painting well preserved. See detailed photos. Style. Vintage / Mediterranean / 1960s-80s. Material. Oil on canvas – wood – fabric. Colours. Blue, white, beige, brown, green.
