Solid mahogany chest

Large 19th century mahogany trunk with very beautiful wood grain. Brass reinforcements, corner angles, handles and locks. All mounted on mahogany panels. Rarely, the trunk still has its key and the lock is functional. Monogram central medallion. Currently this type of furniture is used as a coffee table, at the end of a bed or sofa, as a bedside table, as a linen storage unit, as a bar, etc. A very practical detail given its weight, the beast is mounted on casters. Note the lid has been the subject of a restoration visible in the photos.
