This Berber rug, called Azilal, gets its name from the Azilal region in Morocco where it was handmade on a traditional wooden loom. Its patterns represent the moods, loves, and sorrows of the weaver at the time of creation. Each piece is therefore unique. This Berber rug represents more than a month of weaving. Our rugs with a white background and colourful patterns always have a white wool base. The colours can be made from cotton or wool. Very bright colours are usually made from cotton, while more natural colours are made from wool. Our fully coloured rugs are all 100% wool.
