This Berber rug, called Azilal, takes its name from the Azilal region in Morocco where it was handmade on a traditional wooden loom. Its patterns represent the moods, loves, and sorrows of the weaver at the time of its creation. Once this colourful rug is created, she will weave another completely different one, according to her emotions at that moment. Each piece is therefore unique. This Berber rug represents more than a month of weaving. Our rugs with a white background and colourful patterns always have a white wool background. The colours may be in cotton or wool. Very bright colours are generally in cotton, while colours with a more natural finish are in wool. Our fully coloured rugs are 100% wool.
