Vintage black Diamond chair by Harry Bertoia for Knoll.

The Diamond Chair is one of the purest pieces of mid-century design. Harry Bertoia designed it for Knoll in 1952, and as a sculptor, he saw it as a study of space: a seat made "mainly of air" that space passes through. This is the small version (model 421) in its original black upholstery, a pre-1986 model. In excellent vintage condition with normal signs of age. The only modifications are that the pads' screws have been renewed. The original skai seat cushion is included. It has stiffened over time, so it is better suited as a historical piece or to be reupholstered rather than for daily use.
