Oil on canvas depicting a flock of sheep in a forest landscape bathed in the light of late summer or autumn. The scene shows a shepherd guiding his flock along a path lined with tall trees. The work is signed in the bottom right corner: Hublet II On the reverse is the handwritten inscription: “Normain – Bois Varlet – 1945” Probably a localized view or a regional memory painted just after the Second World War.
