This magnificent and unique Austrian console made of solid walnut and brass from the mid-20th century was designed in the 1950s in Vienna by Oswald Haerdtl, one of the greatest Austrian architects of the post-war period. It features a walnut wood structure with a drawer and a glass shelf, as well as elegant, slender legs with brass fittings. All the wooden parts are in very good original vintage condition with minimal signs of age-related wear. It comes directly from a Viennese villa, the Villa Pertl, designed by Haerdtl in 1957. This exceptional console is therefore a rare, unique, and significant piece of post-war Austrian design history. The perfect complement for a modern living room, office, or mid-century library!
