Large pressed moulded glass Art Deco blue frosted cup

Sumptuous pressed moulded glass bowl, in Art Deco style, presumably French and dating from the 1920s to 1940s. Its shape is striking: a wide inclined elliptical basin with wavy edges, resting on a flared truncated conical foot. The entire surface is covered with a relief decoration of spirals moulded into the mass — a characteristic pattern of the great decorative glassworks of France between the wars, in the spirit of the houses Verlys, Genet & Michon, or Etling. Viewed from above, the bowl creates a dynamic and sculptural shape that is absolutely unique. Condition: very good overall condition. No visible chips or cracks.
