Botanical board, London 1809

Another small board of wild herbs listed, illustrated, coloured and edited by sowerby james; first in the lineage of english naturalist historians. The sowerbys published, wrote or illustrated more than 100 natural history books between 1780 and 1954. It is in excellent condition, no freckles. Just a fine paper nicely blond by time.
