Very beautiful atypical coffee table, with a very Japanese-inspired design, meeting the criteria of the "Japandi" style. This recent term comes from the contraction of "Japan" and "Scandinavia." Drawing inspiration from the concepts of "hygge," which promotes intimacy and comfort in one's living space, and "wabi-sabi," referring here to simplicity and aesthetic sobriety, the aesthetic principles of discretion and minimalism of Japandi particularly value functional elements, at the expense of the superfluous, with sober tones, clean lines, raw materials, and natural textures... This beautiful table perfectly adheres to all these principles. Made entirely of solid teak, it is of very high quality. The thick top (8 cm!), crafted from a single plank, has been extensively beveled to eliminate a heavy and massive effect. The base also features a central vertical groove, which breaks the monolithic appearance. The stability of the whole is ensured by two wooden keys at the ends of the stretcher. The top rests on four dowels at the top of the legs. The entire piece is fully disassemblable... In magnificent condition, with a very beautiful top... This table is very heavy, weighing between 30 and 35 kg, with the top alone weighing around 20 kg! Height = 40.5 cm, length = 100 cm, width = 56 cm.
