Large salad bowl in turned stoneware with a pretty, slightly pyrite glaze in soft colors, ecru, caramel and chocolate, material and colors typical of the 70s. It is thick and therefore very solid. Its very high and deep shape is ideal for mixing and serving a green salad for example. It is not signed, but I recognize the work on the glaze of Jean-Pierre Prud'homme, who did not sign all his pieces, and underneath, the number 5 is engraved in hollow by hand, which confirms my intuition, because he often engraved a number, model number or size I imagine (see his soup bowls for example which are engraved 1 or 2 depending on the size). Jean-Pierre Prud'homme founded with his wife an artisanal pottery workshop in 1971 in Monnaie, working with clay from the Nièvre (Puisaye stoneware). This workshop still exists today (Au grès du vent workshop), it is run by his son Benoît who took over in the 1990s-2000s. This salad bowl is in perfect condition, no cracks, no chips, not even an abrasion or chip in the enamel. It measures 26 cm in diameter and 14.5 cm in height. It weighs a little over 2 kg.
