Walnut library

Renaissance style bookcase made early twentieth or late nineteenth, it in a beautiful dark walnut, the bottom is chestnut shelves fir. It has been completely stripped and treated with oil to preserve the raw wood side of the building (2.2m high). The interior has been painted in matt sage green which gives it a casing effect and highlights the exceptional quality of this walnut tree. Restored by a cabinetmaker, treated against pests this cabinet is completely removable which allows it to find its place even in a city center apartment with a cramped staircase.
