Important flamed mahogany library in Empire style, featuring a sober and majestic façade, characteristic of French furniture from the early 20th century. The piece opens with two central glazed doors, framed by moulded and gilded bronze strips, revealing an interior fitted with adjustable shelves, ideal for books or collectibles. On each side, two solid doors highlight superb mahogany with wide and deep grains. The whole is accentuated by finely chiselled gilded bronze ornamentation: palmettes, vegetal friezes, and motifs inspired by antiquity, arranged with restraint and elegance. The slightly overhanging straight cornice and the base resting on tapered feet give this piece a pronounced architectural presence. French work, Empire style, early 20th century. Flamed mahogany, central glazed doors, solid side doors, original gilded bronze fittings, interior shelving. In excellent condition, with a beautiful old patina, sound structure, and perfectly stable. A large library of museum-quality, ideal for a classic interior, an office, a private library, or a gallery, combining elegance, functionality, and the nobility of materials.
