1970s Czech Mid-Century Glass and Wood Tripod Table Lamp by Dřevo Humpolec

Mid-Century Modern Glass and Beechwood Tripod Table Lamp by Dřevo Humpolec, Czechoslovakia, 1970s. An elegant vintage table lamp manufactured by Dřevo Humpolec in Czechoslovakia during the 1970s. This distinctive example of Czech mid-century modern lighting features a sculptural three-legged beechwood base supporting an elongated cylindrical glass shade with delicate vertical striped decoration. The warm honey-colored wood contrasts beautifully with the softly translucent glass, creating a refined combination of natural materials and geometric forms. Its architectural tripod construction, incorporating angled wooden supports and slender metal connecting rods, reflects the functional and experimental design language of postwar Czechoslovak modernism. When illuminated, the striped glass shade diffuses the light beautifully, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The lamp retains its original manufacturer’s label from Dřevo Humpolec, confirming its provenance. With its compact proportions and distinctive sculptural silhouette, this piece works beautifully as a bedside lamp, accent light, or decorative table lamp in mid-century modern, Scandinavian, contemporary, or minimalist interiors.
