I used a wormy wood hardener to solidify it, but I left all these small traces of its previous life visible. In this specific case, I found it unnecessary to fill it with wood putty. I hope I'm not the only one who thinks that it gives it much more charm. The 2 locks are functional and original, and the 2 keys are different, however, another detail that makes it unique. I lined the bottoms, which gives a little more clarity to the interiors. Its finish: colorless wax, it deserves good care after being neglected for a few years. The tops are varnished, however, which allows you to place decorative objects more peacefully.
