A Danish extendable dining table, designed by Niels O. Møller, model 254, and manufactured by J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik in the 1960s. Renowned for its refined proportions and quality craftsmanship, this iconic piece embodies the timeless elegance of Scandinavian modernism. Made from rosewood veneer and solid rosewood, the table features warm tones and pronounced natural grain, making each piece unique. Special attention has been given to the selection and assembly of the veneer, allowing the wood's pattern to unfold harmoniously across the tabletop and extend onto the two original leaves. The sculpted solid wood frame, finely tapered legs, and subtly profiled edge give it a light appearance while ensuring excellent stability. The table extends with two original leaves, increasing the length from 130 cm to 236 cm. Condition Good vintage condition with slight signs of age and use consistent with the period. The leaves show a slight colour variation compared to the main tabletop, due to decades of protected storage. The extension mechanism functions correctly, and the table remains structurally sound.
