Danish Expandable Rosewood Dining Table

This is a classic Danish dining table, crafted from richly figured rosewood. Its design embodies the functional elegance of the Scandinavian modern movement, offering both a compact footprint for daily use and the flexibility to accommodate more guests. The table is constructed from rosewood, prized for its deep, warm tones and dramatic grain patterns. It measures 120 cm in length, 80 cm in width, and stands at a height of 73 cm. A separate extension leaf allows the table to expand to a total length of 170 cm, making it a versatile piece for entertaining. The slender, tapered legs are a characteristic feature of mid-century Danish design, providing stability without visual weight. This piece has been well-maintained and presents with the characteristic patina that develops over time, enhancing the natural beauty of the wood. The structure is solid and the extension mechanism functions as intended. The overall condition is good, consistent with its age and history of use.
