Period: ca. 1900-1910 this large double coat hook is an authentic thonet piece. It appears in the gebruders thonet catalogs of 1886 and 1906 (no. 11.011). It has two long curved hooks, the upper ends form scrolls and the lower ends are finished with a hat tip. The two hooks are attached to a round wall plate with a built-in hanging niche on the back. The screws and condition of the part indicate that this is not a modern version. One hook has a darker patina. It is beech wood that has been bent using michael thonet's famous steam process, which he perfected to create his furniture on an industrial scale. Condition: signs of use consistent with age. Fiber cracks in the plaice, which is not abnormal. See the pictures. Dimensions: 39 cm wide, 33.5 cm high, 22 cm deep from the wall.
