Eames Herman Miller 1950s RAR rocking chair in black

Original Charles and Ray Eames rocking chair in a rare black. Vintage Herman Miller version fibreglass shell on replacement chrome base with solid walnut wood runners (we also have black bases and oak/birch runners if you would prefer). Or dowel/Eiffel, H base/cats craddle/stacking in variuos finishes. The contemporary version of this chair is made of polypropylene, which in our opinion, is not a patch on these original fibreglass models, which age really well. In good vintage condition.  The shockmounts are in good condition. Some minor scuffs here and there on the shell but nothing serious.   Approximate dimensions: Width: 63.5cm Depth: 61cm Height: 68cm Seat height: 43cm. The seat and base will be dismantled for safer shipping but can be bought fully assembled if so desired - please let us know in this case and we will let you have a shipping quote.
