Model v155 curved pine veneer wall lamps by hans-agne jakobsson for markaryd, sweden, 1960s rare pair of model v155 wall lamps, designed by hans-agne jakobsson for markaryd, sweden, during the 1960s. The sculptural shades are made from beautifully curved pine veneer and combined with brass backplates. When illuminated, the lamps produce a warm and atmospheric light that emphasises the natural grain of the wood. Both lamps are in very good vintage condition. One light has a very small area of damage, hardly noticable, to a back corner (see photo). The veneer shade of one lamp is mounted a fraction higher than the other. These very minor differences are not disturbing and do not detract from the sculptural appeal or character of this rare model. The lamps retain their original manufacturer’s identification, including an original label and branded mark. An elegant and beautifully preserved pair of scandinavian wall lights by one of sweden’s most celebrated lighting designers.
