Earthenware compotier Creil & Montereau Japanese service 19th century

Very pretty serving dish / compotier on pedestal from the creil & montereau earthenware factory, japanese model, late 19th c., circa 1880. Stamped below. Blue-gray earthenware with japanese-style midnight blue decoration, made of plum trees, cherry trees and chrysanthemums, also known as the monet service due to its presence in his home in giverny. Perfect in a fruit bowl or for biscuits, toast and sweets. Satisfactory state of conservation. Note, however, traces of wear and use: fine yellowed scratches in number, chips on the edge and under the base on areas of friction.
