In the 1920s, after the first world war, like many american companies, lawson flourished and tried to conquer europe by setting up stores in london and paris, through the "société des etablissements lawson", at 31 rue de chabrol, paris, 75010, in particular. As for the petroleum or gasoline gas stoves, it seems more than likely that the lawson stoves were built in georges roux's premises in cusset. Lawson-stamped stoves are actually renamed emé. They lost the émé logo on the burners and the enamelled cast iron carcass. They just added a lawson plaque to the tank.
