INFORMATION: This watercolor was created to illustrate the book Atlas of the Lepidoptera of France (Volume 1: Rhopalocera), published in 1944 by N. Boubée et Cie. Very good condition, minor imperfections and foxing in the margins. Accompanied by a small overlay with additional information written by the artist. (see photo).
