Art Nouveau coffee table with marquetry.

Art Nouveau coffee table with two tiers made of solid walnut and marquetry. Circa 1900. Attributed to Paul Guth (1878-1918), a renowned cabinetmaker from the École de Nancy. The marquetry design on the top tier depicts a landscape with hills, a tree, and poppies. The design on the lower tier features water lilies. Several precious wood species are used in the marquetry, including: spalted maple burl, amboyna burl, ash, wild cherry, blonde and flamed mahogany, lime, violet wood, and rosewood. The table is very stable and there are no missing pieces in the marquetry. Good condition.
