Pair of Baumann armchairs, Argos models.

Superb and rare pair of Baumann curule chairs, Argos models. Circa 1980. Both have a Baumann label located under the seat. Rare model. In their original condition, they are in very good overall condition. Made of varnished beech wood in a lovely honey tone, they show signs of age that contribute to their beautiful patina. There are small areas of varnish loss on the sides of the armrests and legs, minor scratches, light cigarette burn marks on one armrest, and small repairs at the top of the backrest (see all photos). The cushions, which likely clipped onto the seat as evidenced by the four visible round holes on both seats, are missing. However, these two chairs remain very aesthetic, stable, and robust. No accidents are noted apart from the signs of age mentioned above. Width: 61 cm. Total height: 94 cm. Depth: 51 cm. Seat height: 44 cm.
