Cabinetmaker's workshop furniture with 12 drawers circa 30's/40's

Vintage workshop furniture, rustic contemporary with 12 drawers in oak and chestnut, late 30s, early 40s. This artisanal piece originally came from a carpenter/cabinetmaker's workshop in the dordogne. This fantastic piece of furniture could be used as a storage cabinet, in a row, low sideboard, counter or other. It has a large storage capacity with 12 drawers with fully functional dovetail seals. Some of them have old marks and traces of use inside voluntarily preserved others not (see photos.) the piece is in very good original condition, vintage. It was only gently dusted, completely cleaned with a silk brush, then oiled with cold-pressed organic linseed oil (so no chemicals used on the part), to preserve and respect as much as possible its beautiful original patina. The handles have only been oiled as well, in order to maintain their original state (see photos). Everything is original and in the closest condition to what it was when buying( minus dust) from the son of the original owner. There are marks and signs of prior use proportionate to time, on the overall structure, top, side panels, drawers and interiors as well as feet. I decided to leave some old traces of paint "as is", at the front (see photo), and other old marks / old ink stains or other, on the top and in the drawers because they tell the story of the room without distorting it and respects its integrity. The part is strong, sturdy and stable. This piece is the last one we have, its twin sister having been sold on the site. Drawer dimensions: the 12 drawers have the same width and depth: 47.5 cm X d: 39.5 cm. Each row has a different height: row 1 (top): h: 9.5 cm, row 2: h: 10.5 cm row 3: h: 11.5 cm row 4: h: 12.5 cm.
