Style: Louis XIII / Louis XIV Period: Late 19th century (circa 1880–1900) Material: Solid walnut. Upholstery: Gobelin tapestry. Armchair with armrests in solid walnut in the so-called "sheep bone" style, typical of Louis XIII inspiration. The structure showcases beautiful cabinetmaking quality: four turned baluster legs connected by an H-shaped stretcher, also turned arm supports, and wide armrests with sculpted volutes finely moulded — the hallmark of this style. The flat backrest with beautiful proportions and the generous seat are fully upholstered in Gobelin tapestry featuring acanthus leaf motifs, flowers, and a romantic landscape, secured by a woven trim in sand and terracotta tones. The structure is sound and stable, with a lovely old patina on the wood. The tapestry shows gentle and even wear, true to its age. Dimensions: Width 66 cm — Depth 58 cm — Total height 110 cm — Seat height 45 cm — Armrest height 69 cm.
