Antique armchair in the Louis XIII style (1610-1643), unknown period. The lower part (legs and crosspieces) and the armrest supports are made of turned wood (balusters), while the armrests are beautifully carved and curved (sheep's bone), in the style of the mid-17th century. The entire frame is made of oak, and the assembly appears to be glued, without dowels. Overall in good condition, with some woodworm present over a few centimetres, the fabric is discoloured and stained and can be restored or replaced, and a few upholstery nails are missing (see photos). The seat is in good condition and very comfortable! Dimensions: 65 X 60 X 109 cm. Weight: 15.5 kg. Please feel free to contact me if you have any information that could help date the period of manufacture of this armchair, as I am also curious to learn more. I will also be happy to respond if you need any information, additional photos... or if you would like to make me an offer!
