The plates are in good condition, no shortages, no cracks or shards. They date from the end of the 19th century, and have served, so they have, over time, "cracked", I.e. The white background has yellowed, grayed in places, and cracked very finely, which does not prevent them from being used, and gives them a very touching antique and bohemian aspect. They are made of iron soil, which indicates a fine earthenware, halfway between earthenware and porcelain. It is more precisely a earthenware with feldspat, a mineral compound, and kaolin, to make it whiter and more resistant. It is a dish of very good quality, quite heavy, and has managed to pass through time. The plates are marked on the back of the enamel ink stamp of the french society of grand bazaars and new galeries réunies s-f-g-b-n-g-r, founded in 1897, and which was the former brand of galeries lafayettes. The plates are flat. The marli is occupied all round by a decorative frieze of acanthus and palmettes, from which start floral bouquets of spring flowers, all in indigo ink.
