CM 191 coffee table by Pierre Paulin, Thonet 1959

Coffee table model CM 191 designed by Pierre Paulin in the late 1950s, produced by Ligne Roset. The rectangular tabletop made of solid wood with a light finish rests on a base of black lacquered steel wire composed of double V-shaped arcs, creating a light and graphic structure. The design is defined by a subtle tension between the plane and the line, characteristic of Paulin's early work. The model was registered on 26 February 1959 under number 90523 and is among the most refined creations of Pierre Paulin for Thonet France, with whom he collaborated between 1952 and 1959.
