Wall medallion of the Virgin and Child in terracotta. France, circa 1920-1950. Circular medallion in moulded terracotta depicting the Virgin and Child surrounded by a frieze of grape clusters, ears of wheat, and foliage in relief. A work of popular French devotion from the first half of the 20th century. Diameter: 33.5 cm. Thickness: 3 cm. Unglazed terracotta with a natural patina. Two moulded attachments on the reverse for wall mounting. Overall good condition, slight signs of age, no chips.
