Dog ceramic jug

Superb and rare zoomorphic jug in earthenware representing a seated dog. This antique piece was made by the Georges Dreyfus Faïencerie, a factory established in Moret-sur-Loing and founded in 1890. The jug bears the model number "398" under the base. The dog is depicted with great character, in a beautiful glaze with ochre and brown hues. Its dark green collar provides an elegant contrast, while the details of the fur, muzzle, and gaze reflect particularly expressive craftsmanship. The handle is discreetly integrated into the back of the silhouette. Both functional and highly decorative, this jug is a true collector's item. It will naturally find its place in a collection of antique earthenware, slipware, or zoomorphic objects. A rare and original piece from the Georges Dreyfus Faïencerie.
