Folding game table – Louis XVI-Directoire style – Solid mahogany and brass

Folding game table in Louis XVI-Directoire style, made of solid mahogany, early 19th century. Rectangular top unfolds to reveal a square surface of 82 × 82 cm, upholstered in turquoise felt bordered with a golden wave-patterned trim. The four inner corners of the game top feature characteristic quarter-circle cutouts of this type of furniture. Four tapered legs with a square section, typical of the neoclassical repertoire, resting on patinated brass sabot feet. Opening mechanism secured by central brass hinges. Original brown-red patina, with superficial signs of wear on the closed top, indicating authentic use. Closed dimensions: H. 73 cm, W. 82 cm. Weight: 30 kg. Used condition, cleaning required.
