Extendable oval table in Louis XVI style – Mottled mahogany – 19th century

Oval extendable dining table in Louis XVI style, made of mottled mahogany. Oval top in mottled mahogany with characteristic spotted grain, mounted on six fluted tapered legs with capitals, resting on golden brass sabot feet. The frieze is adorned with a flame mahogany veneer with fluted consoles at the corners, typical of the Louis XVI decorative repertoire. Extension system with three 50 cm leaves, bringing the maximum length to 290 cm. Height under the frieze is 64 cm. The leaves feature a distinct flame and linear grain compared to the main top. General condition requires restoration: marks and scratches on the main top, significant cracks on the leaves, localized stains on some legs. Complete restoration of the top and leaves is to be expected. Intervention possible upon request by the seller's workshops. Dimensions without leaves: H 75 cm × W 119 cm. Weight: approximately 40 kg.
