Art Studio Cup Hans-Jürgen Richartz (Mathildenhütte)

Decorative bowl designed by Hans-Jürgen Richartz for the prestigious German manufacturer Mathildenhütte (Solingen), this piece embodies the avant-garde glass design of the 1970s-1980s. Handcrafted from heavy glass weighing 962 g, it features a beautiful wavy and asymmetrical shape with a maximum diameter of 27 cm. It has lovely raised wavy edges, characterised by its abstract relief patterns, and showcases internal polychrome inclusions. It bears the exact engraved signature "Richartz Art Collection". Condition: Very good overall condition, with no chips or cracks, showing only very slight micro-scratches on a dark background and a tiny original air bubble; see photos.
