In 1841, auguste-denis lagoute, a liquorist from dijon and his son-in-law henri lejay, carried the french art of living high by developing the very first crème de cassis with a creamy texture and powerful aromas. If their notoriety was linked (and still is) to excellence, the house had quality advertising objects made. In particular this ashtray in enamelled earthenware, stamped with the name of the famous factory and its emblematic product. It represents a jay (and not a pigeon as we can often read), because dijon society associates it with its "advertisements" since the beginning of the twentieth century. The elegant bird, caramel-colored, is in excellent condition. It only has a tiny enamel jump at the end of the beak, but you really have to put your nose on it to notice it. Height: 11 cm. Length: 20 cm. Width: 12 cm.
