Martin Visser KW 81 Floating Sideboard for ‘t Spectrum, 1960s

A floating sideboard, model KW 81, designed by Martin Visser for the Dutch manufacturer ‘t Spectrum. The model was part of the collection from 1965 to 1971. It’s a fine example of Dutch modernist design, with clean lines and simple proportions. The warm, dark wengé wood contrasts beautifully with the white formica sliding doors, giving the sideboard a quiet, architectural appearance. The interior offers practical storage space, with shelves that can be adjusted in height and a convenient drawer. The sideboard comes with its original metal wall brackets, which can be adjusted in angle to ensure a proper installation. The original manufacturer’s label is also still present. A thoughtful and understated design by Martin Visser, combining functionality with the light appearance of a floating cabinet.
