A dramatic presence, a functional sculpture. This table lamp is attributed to the Italian master designer Luciano Frigerio (1928-1999), an iconic figure of the glamorous and audacious design of the 1970s. His style, a "precious brutalism" blending strong forms with opulent materials, embodies Frigerio's concept of "Mobili Scultura": furniture or objects conceived as sculptures, works of art. The solid base is crafted from brass and bronze using the casting technique, then meticulously hand-chiseled to create a unique texture, a striking "feather effect" of dynamism, which also reflects Frigerio's signature style. The top of the base, a subtly domed brushed brass plate, provides an elegant finish. To enhance this sculptural base, a new rectangular lampshade in white cotton has been added. This understated and contemporary choice creates a dialogue between the richness of the metal base and the simplicity of the lampshade's lines. The wiring has been completely renewed with a gold-plated cable, switch, and plug, and a metallic black E27 socket. Dimensions: Total height: 54 cm. Base: W 12 x D 12 x H 42 cm (including socket) / Lampshade: W 31.5 x D 16 x H 18 cm. Net weight: 5.6 kg. This lamp will be carefully packaged.
