19th C Louis Philippe mirror with flower and shield crest

This wonderful antique mirror originates from France, circa 1880, and features a beautifully ornate shield-shaped crest placed in a decorative flower shape. The inner rim is elegantly edged with a classic 'string of pearls' motif. A quintessential Louis Philippe mirror, it boasts the characteristic rounded upper corners that define this timeless style. The frame is elegantly etched with a stripe pattern. The mirror frame is structurally healthy. The mirror has its original mirror plate and back cladding. The mirror glass is in very good condition, with a few tiny foxed spots on the left side that enhance its antique charm. Please keep in mind that in many cases we sell vintage and antique pieces.
