The Huntress - Ceramic vase

Title - The Huntress. Inspired by the archetype followers of Artemis, the Huntress becomes a symbol of empowerment, spirituality and freedom. Accompanied by a deer, she now hunts with her bow and arrow by the sea. A protector of nature and the order within it. The rim is decorated with the wave, the star, the moon and the symbols of cardinal star signs, giving the artwork a cosmic aspect. The figure is in powerful motion and the background is painted in vivid colours. By applying sea water onto the bisque surfaces, the artist invites the unpredictable textures of salt to mark each piece, transforming the surface into a record of both artistic intent and organic reaction. This vase belongs to a limited series of just 10 hand-painted larger ceramic vases, each signed and numbered by the artist. The exclusive collection includes artworks: Huntress, Eros, Griffin and Medusa. White clay, pigment colour, textured glaze. Designed and hand-painted by Christina Mandilari. Wheel-thrown in Athens.
