Rare Umbrella Stand by Shiro Kuramata for Pastoe 1986

Rare umbrella stand, designed by the great Shiro Kuramata in 1986 for Pastoe Netherlands. It is marked inside with the original Pastoe sticker. This item is hard to find, it was in production for only 2 years and not many of them were made. It has a black enameled steel base and a coated steel stand, that looks like an 'umbrella' with a chrome plated steel ring around it. Functional piece with a wink. The umbrella stand is in very good original condition. One spot on the inner side of the ring with a little loss of chrome, as visible in the next to last picture. Furthermore excellent.
