Vase sculpture cat in stoneware Johanna Grothendieck

Zoomorphic vase-sculpture in stoneware, representing a cat's head, attributed to the French ceramist Johanna Grothendieck. The piece features a sculptural form characteristic of her work: a silhouette shaped with clean lines, ears forming the opening of the vase, and a delicately incised face. Very beautiful glazing in natural brown-olive tones, enhanced by the green glazed eyes and their dark pupils, which give the piece a lot of expression. French studio pottery, late 20th – early 21st century. Dimensions: height 22 cm – width approx. 18 cm – diameter of the base 10 cm. Very good overall condition. A singular decorative piece, halfway between a vase and animal sculpture.
