R08 elm sideboard, pierre chapo, 1960s

Model R08 sideboard in solid elm designed by French designer and interior architect Pierre Chapo (1927-1987) in the 1960s. It opens with two hinged doors topped with two asymmetrical drawers in the belt, providing a beautiful storage space. This iconic model perfectly illustrates the sculptural approach and the artisanal demands of the designer. Very good general condition, with a uniform patina. Some light signs of use on the top, consistent with the age of the piece, without altering its aesthetics or its solidity. DV871.
