Large Vintage Nachtmann "Bamberg" Cobalt Blue Cut-to-Clear Crystal Vase

Stunning and heavy vintage lead crystal vase crafted by the renowned German manufacturer F.X. Nachtmann in Bavaria, Germany, during the second half of the 20th century. This is the iconic "Bamberg" model, highly prized for its intricate and deeply hand-cut geometric patterns. The vase features a rich, deep cobalt blue overlay cut back to clear, brilliant crystal. The design beautifully combines clear circular cameo panels, fine vertical ribbing, fan cuts, and a classic starburst cut pattern on the base which elegantly masks the pontil mark. Thanks to its high lead content (24% PbO), the vase is very heavy, possesses exceptional clarity, and reflects light beautifully. • Maximum Diameter: 12.5 cm. • Weight: 2 kg. Condition: The crystal is remarkably clean, brilliant, and entirely clear on the inside with no limescale or cloudiness.
