Oil Paint composed of pigments bonded with linseed oil or carnations. The traditional technique is to superimpose layers of increasingly oil-rich paint for a strong and durable grip. Impressionism Édouard Manet (1832-1883) was the first artist to paint only everyday subjects. His fast and assured way of painting made him the precursor of Impressionism. On April 15, 1874, the exhibition of a group of artists (Degas, Renoirs, Cézanne, Pissaro, Guillaumin, Sisley and Morisot) opened at the home of the photographer Nadar. Claude Monet's painting Impression du soleil levant (1873) was used by the art critic Louis Leroy in an ironic article entitled "L'exposition des impressionnistes". The movement was born. The movement is characterized by the execution of paintings in the open air. The painter focuses on rendering light, impressions rather than precision of details. Paint Painting is an art form consisting of painting on a surface by aesthetically applying colored fluids to it. Painters represent a very personal expression on supports such as paper, rock, canvas, wood, bark, glass, concrete and many other subjectiles. A work of representation or invention, painting can be naturalistic and figurative, or abstract. It can have narrative, descriptive, symbolic, spiritual, or philosophical content.
