Magnificent and extremely rare solid oak sideboard attributed to the famous french sculptor and cabinetmaker joseph savina circa 1950. Joseph savina, based in tréguier in brittany, collaborated on many projects with his friend le corbusier and accompanied the modernist movement of the reconstruction of the late 1940s and early 1950s by reinterpreting celtic furniture inspiring brutalism. This sideboard with 2 independent doors (locks replaced), 2 1/2 removable shelves and 2 interior drawers is emblematic of his work. Note the superb full-height front legs in fluted columns, the beautiful sculpted work of the doors as well as the low side plinths reminiscent of the top. Width 192 cm, depth 52 cm, height 97 cm. In excellent condition (we note some insect holes on the bottom which have been treated), ultra qualitative, this buffet will bring the touch of exclusivity to your decoration, in a living room or a dining room. The current top decoration.
