Armchair Erik Kirkegaard for Glostrup

Danish armchair, designed by Danish designer Erik Kirkegaard and manufactured by Glostrup in Denmark in the 1960s. A very beautiful piece of Mid-Century Danish design, particularly representative of Erik Kirkegaard's work and the aesthetic of Scandinavian furniture from the 60s. The armchair is built around a solid teak frame and base, an iconic material of Danish furniture from this period. The teak features a beautiful grain and carefully crafted lines, with elegant and slightly tapered profiles for the uprights, legs, and armrests. This is a robust piece (as evidenced by its weight) and high-end (see the detail of the stitching at the junction between the faux leather and the teak). In good vintage condition, with signs of use and marks of time corresponding to the age of the armchair.
