Pierre Chapo S32 Leather Sofa for Atelier Chapo France 1960s

Great S32 leather sofa, designed by Pierre Chapo and manufactured in his own atelier in France 1960s. The sofa is an iconic representation of the designer and master craftman's philosophy: a seamless blend of robust modernist design and traditional woodworking techniques. Crafted from solid elm, the sofa features a strong geometric wooden frame characterized by Chapo's signature visible joinery. The frame holds deep generous seat and back cushions upholstered in its original thick brown leather. Very comfortable seating. The sofa is in good original condition with some traces of wear due to time and usage. The wooden frame is very good without damages, just some normal wear. On 2 seat cushions the leather have some more traces of use, as visible in the last photos. As the leather is so thick, this won't be a problem for many years to come.
