Desk called "Bonheur-du-jour" Napoleon III

In mahogany and mahogany veneer with numerous brass inlays, this charming bonheur-du-jour dates from the second half of the 19th century. It consists of a writing desk with a drop-down front revealing a storage space, an upper tier with a central display case, two bevelled side mirrors, and two small drawers. The elegant turned columns and the brass gallery highlight its refinement. The piece rests on a fine base fitted with original castors and retains all the characteristic elegance of Napoleon III furniture.
